When You Need the Room
Online training is how most RTI students learn, and it works very well. But some skills develop faster when the instructor is in the room and when you can work a scenario, get corrected in real time, and debrief with your team after.
Courses like Interview and Interrogation, Crime Scene Photography, and Strangulation Investigation have practical components that hit different when officers are running live exercises together. If you have the bodies and the budget, in-person delivery is worth it.
YOUR TRAINING RECORDS
Documentation That Holds Up
Every RTI course, online or in-person, comes with the POST documentation your agency needs for training records. Completion certificates, credit hours, course descriptions, and instructor credentials are all provided. If your state POST commission requires specific paperwork formats, we will work with you to get it right. You bring the officers. We handle the paper trail.

Training Your Whole Team Costs Less Than You Think
RTI offers volume pricing for agencies enrolling multiple officers, whether online, in-person, or a combination of both. For in-person delivery, groups of 20 or more qualify for volume seat pricing — for every 10 paid seats, your agency gets one free. Yes. RTI instructors travel nationwide. We have delivered courses across the country and will work with your agency regardless of location.
There is no hard floor, but in-person delivery makes the most financial sense for groups of ten or more. For smaller teams, we can discuss options including combining with nearby agencies or scheduling around an open-enrollment date or hybrid in person and online options.
All RTI courses are Idaho POST-certified. Idaho POST is IDALEST certified so all of our training is built to confirm to those national standards. For agencies in other states, documentation requirements vary by POST commission. We will work with you to provide the records your agency needs, and we can help you determine whether a reciprocity agreement applies.
Many of our courses can also include additional credit hours for things like the International Association of Identification (IAI), the International Association of Identification for Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (IABPA) and medicolegal investigations.
Yes, and we do frequently. Most agencies that bring RTI in-person either pick a single flagship course or build a multi-day training week from several shorter courses. Tell us what your department needs and we will put together a program that fits.
Four to eight weeks is typical for most courses but the more lead-time, the more successful enrollment will be. The 40-hour Crime Scene Photography course requires additional lead time due to equipment and venue requirements (a night shoot location is non-negotiable). Contact us as early as possible for that one.
In-person delivery is priced per officer or as a full class buy-out, depending on what works for your agency. We do not publish a fixed rate because every deployment is different. Contact us and we will give you real numbers with bulk seat discounts.
